Attropiated Release is a term used to show that content is available for others to use – subject to any terms the author may wish to make applicable.
The most common use of Attropiated Release is where the creator of a digital work allows the use of any or all of it for others’ use in their own creations – on the understanding they will provide a link (usually an active hyperlink) back the author’s work.
The phrase “This content is offered as an Attropiated Release” is one way of annotating such content.
Watermarking or adding an icon is another means of achieving the desired effect.
The example below shows the icon as the middle of the three at the bottom of a Youtube “shorts” video snapshot.
